Father Aloysius Ong has been the Spiritual Director of CEE Singapore since 2011 and have been involved in all manner of responsibilities to help couples prepare well for marriage. In his own time, besides being an avid Star Wars fan, Father Aloysius rollerblades, cycles, jogs, swim and can hold a game of badminton very well.

BOARD

Patrick & Linette HIA have been married since 1978. They were one of the early pioneer couples who helped to get Catholic Engaged Encounter (CEE) started in Singapore, in Sep1982. Since then, besides being National Co-ordinators in Singapore, they were also the regional East Asia Co-ordinators, from 2011 - 2021, covering China, Hongkong (SAR), Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore. They have a large family by today's standard, with five grown up children and 2 grandchildren.

Alan and Marie started volunteering as House-couple , Prayer couple in 2002 , the year they got married. And progressed to becoming Presenters in 2006 after their first child was born. Blessed with two boys and one daughter , volunteering in CEE has given them the opportunity to deepen their faith and strengthen their own marriage as they served other couples preparing for a married life. This will be their third stint on the Board as Finance Couple . As a couple they also support the Franciscan Friars of Renewal in bringing Coffee of the Cross to Singapore which supports communities in Nicaragua.

Johnny and Cassandra have been involved in Catholic Engaged Encounter (CEE) since 1996. They have been in different supporting ministries such as Prayer Couple, House Couple, Registration Couple, Reception Couple before taking the leap of faith to be Presenters in 2016. They have been married since 1995 and have two sons. Being in this CEE Ministry has helped them understand the greater purpose of being service to others.

David and Karen started volunteering in CEE after their marriage in 1995. The Weekend they attended before that had such a strong impact on them that they felt the call to be involved. Since then, they have found friendship and family in the community that helped ground them in their own relationship. They have a grown-up son who not too long ago used to help them prepare for Weekends when they served as the then Setup Couple.
